About Central BID
Central BID is the Business Improvement District supporting retail, leisure and hospitality businesses in Birmingham city centre.
Our work includes security patrols, street cleaning, City Safe crime prevention, marketing, promotion, festive family attractions and a warm welcome to visitors to the city centre.
A Safer Birmingham
Central BID funds a team of Business Support Officers who provide a visible, reassuring presence to city centre visitors and staff.
The BID also operates the City Safe digital radio network to reduce crime and keep BID members connected when needed. More than 260 City Safe radios are now operational, with more members signing up each day.
A Brighter Birmingham
Central BID installs and maintains attractive floral features, Christmas decorations and family sculpture trails throughout the year.
The BID also oversees a rolling programme of street jet-washing and chewing gum removal to ensure the city centre looks clean and welcoming at all times of the year.
